About Us

Wahupa


Wahupa Educational Services started as a Native American agency in 1973. Currently, Wahupa is a community-based non-profit organization funded 100% by the U.S. Dept. of Education TRIO grant.

What does Wahupa mean?  Well, Wahupa is the Lakota Sioux Native American word for enlightenment.

The TRiO Programs:

The goal of TRiO is "to increase the percentage of low-income and first generation college students who successfully pursue postsecondary education opportunities."
