Educational Talent Search (ETS)

 

ETS Logo smallThe Wahupa Educational Talent Search program identifies and assists qualified high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education.  The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to and complete their postsecondary education.

  • Academic Counseling on SAT / ACT tests & A-G Rigorous Course Selection
  • Tutoring Connection
  • College & Financial Aid Information & Application Assistance
  • Financial / Economic Literacy Connection

  • Fallbrook High
  • Hoover High
  • Kearny High
  • Montgomery High
  • Orange Glen High
  • San Diego High
  • Sweetwater High
  • Vista High
  • Crawford High
  • Clairemont High

Eligibility for Wahupa ETS

  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
  • Not Enrolled in another Talent Search (ETS), Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), Upward Bound (UB) or Cal-SOAP program
  • Completed ETS application
  • Priority is given to students who are:
  1. Low-income
  2. First Generation (neither parent has graduated from a four-year university with a bachelor's degree)
  3. Planning to attend college
